Electrical Daily is opening applications for an executive council: a working group of electrical contractors and business owners built to compare real notes on the specific pressures reshaping this trade, data-center and AI infrastructure demand pulling experienced electricians toward higher-paying, larger-scale work, a code cycle that keeps shifting the ground under residential and commercial work alike, and a growing list of AI tools competing for a contractor's attention and budget.

Every shop dealing with technicians being recruited away by megaproject wages, or trying to figure out which estimating tool actually earns back its cost, is largely solving these problems alone. A council of operators comparing real experience directly should get to better answers faster than any single shop working it out independently.

This is a launch, not a completed roster. Nobody is a member yet. Applications open today, reviewed by our editorial team, with direct follow-up to the contractors we invite in. Members may be asked for a quote, a short interview, or a write-up in future coverage, credited to them and their business.

Qualification is real: a minimum of $1 million in annual revenue, since the council is built around operators running an established contracting business.
